NDTV, Xinhua, MBN, ABS-CBN — major broadcasters worldwide already run AI news anchors for graveyard-shift content and multilingual variants. The technology is mature; the ethics frameworks are catching up.
Where it's working
India (NDTV), South Korea (MBN), China (Xinhua), Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines, UAE — broadcasters where 24/7 multi-language coverage demands volume.
Mature western broadcasters (BBC, CNN) experiment but rarely deploy in primary news. They use it for explainer / B-roll content.
The technology stack
ElevenLabs / OpenAI for TTS, Audio2Face / NeuroSync for lipsync, MetaHuman in UE5 for render, OBS / vMix for output to broadcast or YouTube live. Runs on a single workstation + GPU.
The ethics question
Disclose AI presenters clearly in graphics. Do not mimic a known human anchor. EU AI Act and several US states now require disclosure for AI-generated news content. EquipVerse refuses to deliver mimicry of identifiable humans.
